A trusted cornerstone of the community for more than forty years, Harlan Veterinary Associates enters a new era under the direction of Dr. Michele Eckermann: Having partnered with Dr. Bruce Havick for nine years, Dr. Eckermann assumed sole responsibility for the practice in 2006. As a full-service, small animal medical practice, birds, cats, dogs, ferrets, 'pocket pets' ( gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters ) and reptiles are welcomed. Every animal that Dr. Eckermann treats, and each pet owner she counsels, is considered 'special': More than merely a name on a computer screen, you and your pet are honored and receive the attention, compassion and friendliness that make Dr. Eckermann and Harlan Veterinary Associates integral parts of your community.
