- Dental ExaminationThe most important factor in preserving your teeth and gums is your daily home care. Regular dental exams and hygiene visits are also essential to maintaining a stable dentition. It’s never too late to care for your teeth even if it’s been a while since you had a professional cleaning.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningSarah is a registered dental hygienist. She works closely with patients to help them achieve and maintain effective oral hygiene. Sarah assists patients in understanding their individual restorative and/or cosmentic dental needs. In addition she evaluates and treats non-surgical periodontal cases and guides home care maintenance plans under the direction of the dentists. Sarah also assists the doctors in the evaluation of new patients and performs an oral examination which includes cancer screening and noting dental signs of instability. This information is then used to develop an individual treatment plan. When she is not working Sarah spends time with her family, attending hockey games and cheering for her three children. Sarah and her husband also raise and breed German Shorthaired Pointers!
- Teeth CleaningHis staff: Lorraine, Matthew, Tina, Teresa, Val and Jen are professional and friendly. They provide a welcoming atmosphere. Each time I walk into the office, I can be certain that Lorraine and Matthew will greet me with a smile and handle the business end of each visit, such as insurance matters, in an expert manner. I receive the royal treatment each time, (the crowning touch, if you pardon the pun). It is my observation that each patient leaves satisfied with his or her visit. Obvious optimism pervades the office, which I find rare in other dental offices. I am happy with Teresa’s way of making me feel at ease for a dental cleaning. She has excellent “bedside manners.” Her confidence in her skill is evident and reassuring. I mostly appreciate all that Dr. Predmore and Tina did to help me with my crowns. They helped alleviate what could have been an arduous ordeal, I am ordinarily very reticent about going through dental procedures, but they made certain that I was comfortable and made it as painless as possible.
- Fluoride TreatmentSarah, our hygienist, will perform a professional cleaning, removing hard plaque and stains that remain after brushing and flossing. Fluoride treatments and prescription toothpaste are available to strengthen your tooth enamel. Even if you haven’t had a cleaning in over two years, it’s never too late to treat your teeth.
- Fillings
- Resin CompositeIn certain cases, conservative composite resin fillings may be indicated instead of porcelain and gold inlays and onlays. Composite resin can be used to replace areas of decay, discoloration and excessive wear. It is also the perfect material to fill notches at the gumline and defects caused by abrasion and occlusal trauma. Finally, we use composite to enhance esthetics and reshape teeth, such as elimination of black triangles. We do not place silver amalgam restorations at our practice. We offer local anesthesia along with sedation, if necessary, to ensure maximum comfort for our patients.
- VeneersOnlays are custom-fitted restorations that function and look like natural, healthy teeth. Onlays and veneers cover only the part of the tooth in need of restoration, preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.
- CrownsCrowns are indicated when less natural tooth structure remains, necessitating covering most of the remaining tooth structure.
- Periodontal SurgeryIt took over 2 years of careful, detailed work by Dr. Predmore, his team and his colleagues in periodontal surgery. Throughout that time I was always clearly informed about what was being done and never uncomfortable. Thank you!
- DenturesIf you are missing some or all of your teeth, you may benefit from partial or complete dentures. Dentures can replace the spaces in your smile and restore chewing function when it has been lost.
- Dental ImplantsDr. Predmore works closely with dental surgeons (Periodontists or Oral Surgeons) in the placement and restoration of dental implants. Dental implants are restored to function and look like natural teeth.
- Oral Surgery
- Gum SurgeryBoth of us have benefited from his outstanding work taking care of our teeth. I was having trouble keeping my teeth clean only because I did not clean my teeth in the proper way. Jim advised me to have gum surgery since tooth loss was a possibility. He referred me to an extremely capable dentist who specialized in gum surgery. That was in 2001. Long story short, with gum surgery completed, I was able to keep my teeth. I learned you have to not only use a brush in the CORRECT way, but you then have to use the small brush between the teeth followed by flossing. If you clean your teeth in a minute or less, you are not doing a good job. Both Elizabeth and I think of Jim an artist. He can fix damaged and worn teeth and straighten teeth that need it. For this work, he was awarded ACCREDITED MEMBER status from the AMERICAN BOARD OF COSMETIC DENTISTRY which requires years of rigorous work. This work included a written examination, an oral examination, and submission of clinical cases. Only a dental artist can achieve that recognition. It was easy to write this review because we have known him for so long a time.”
