General Info
Dr. Michael H. Ryan practiced cardiac and vascular surgery for over ten years and then switched his practice to focus on vein circulation conditions. He has been treating vein conditions for over 20 years. He learned about vein problems first hand since he has been suffering from poor vein circulation since he was in medical school. At that time, he suffered from leg aching, leg cramps, restless legs, poor sleep. and he felt exhausted at the end of the day. He remembers one time at a State Fair that his legs hurt him so bad at the end of the day that he lay down on the sidewalk and put his legs up on a bench - the classic pattern seen with vein problems. He knew something was wrong but did not realize how much the vein circulation was affecting him. After he had minimally invasive vein treatments, his leg symptoms quickly resolved, his sleep improved and stamina increased. He knew this was a treatment which really helps people and he decided to change his practice to focus on treatment of vein conditions. After his first two patients who were ecstatic about how much better they felt, Dr. Ryan was convinced and switched from heart surgery to vein care. Dr. Ryan is board certified in Heart Surgery, General Surgery and Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. To further his vein treatment skills, which depend heavily on skill and expertise in ultrasonography, Dr. Ryan is also certified in venous ultrasound and venous ultrasound interpretation. To maintain his ultrasound skills and to form a complete assessment of the patient's condition, he performs his own ultrasounds when he examines or treats a patient. Dr. Ryan and his team are focused on patient comfort and in creating a positive experience for patients, and they take great pride in achieving this. Of the entire cycle of vein care, the most satisfying moment for Dr. Ryan occurs when he sees the look of hope after he tells the patient that their aching and fatigue will finally go away.
