First, this is NOT part of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The St. Vincent de Paul Center in Hanford, CA is one of the ministries of St. Brigid's Catholic Church of Hanford, CA. The Mission of this Ministry is to help the neediest clients from Hanford and Armona, regardless of religious affiliation, with emergenvcy food, clothing and other supportive services. Clients are referred to the Center from local government agencies such as Human Services, schools, and churches and may receive services every 60 days. The Center is staffed by over 90 volunteers. There are no paid staff at the Center. Funding for this ministry comes from donations, grants, local food banks, United Way funding, and local businesses. Staff from the Center also go out one day a month to take basic supplies and information on supportive services to assist those who are striving to get out of their homeless condition. We are proud of our Center as a stand-alone ministry of St. Brigid's Catholic Church!!!
