Not recommended. Locker room is dirty. Floors dirty and wet. Smells too. The real treat are the "community rags" that you use to wipe down machines after use and to spread the flu!
My wife and I are both in our 70s. My wife has had one knee replaced and needs to schedule the second knee replacement surgery. The water exercise classes are exactly what we both need for "low-impact" exercise that is usually well done in this gym. Most of the patrons are senior citizens (over 50) and many joined In-Shape specifically for the water exercise classes. A couple of problems: (1) the water in the pool is often cooler than is recognized by the Arthritis Foundation as necessary to benefit arthritis patients, and (2) the showers and dressing rooms are often preempted by the cleaning crews when it is time to shower and change for the classes, or to shower and change after the class is over. Another problem is that the whirlpool bath, a part of the pool area, is often drained while the class is being held, rendering it useless for those of us who like to spend five minutes or so after the water exercise class. We are happy to have In-Shape City in Hanford.
