Hennepin County Public Works Management Support provides warehouse purchases and commodity storage, accounting and financial services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting and cash receipts. It also provides management information services that include information systems consulting, software installation, hardware installation and systems maintenance; employee safety programs; and payroll personnel services for public works departments. Additionally, the department offers centralized fleet management services for all county departments. Its fleet service division maintains and improves county vehicles through centralized mobile equipment services involving purchase, maintenance and disposal of cars, trucks and other equipment used by the county departments.
