The Hamden/North Haven YMCA is a nonprofit organization that provides aquatic, child care, sports, and health and fitness programs. The organization s staff members include aquatic directors, facilities managers, and after-school child care and health and wellness coordinators. Its aquatic program includes parent-child, preschool, school-aged and adult swimming lessons. The Hamden/North Haven YMCA s child care programs offer a variety of activities that encourage individual growth and enhance family relationships. The organization s facilities include a nature center, indoor game room, outdoor pools and tennis courts. It supports several sports activities, such as basketball, badminton, volleyball, softball, baseball, kickball and soccer. Located in Hamden, Conn., the Hamden/North Haven YMCA is a part of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA.
