Grown up in Hamburg and have moved away. Every time I go home, we go to Hoak's. It is, by far, the best fish fry in the USA!!!!! Haven't found any thing that can compete with it. My entire family loves it. The setting is gorgeous - right there on the lake and the food is terrific. I highly recommend it!!!!!

Went there on the most severe crab leg hunt in the history of mankind. We drove over beach posts and small children to get there. We were seated right on the patio during sunset...couldn't have asked for a better view. The Alaskan King Crab Legs were F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C and they gave us about a pound and a half of them. The service was fine, but didn't need to be special at all. We capped the night off by slamming 3 pitchers of beer down and talking about how stupid Idearc is. Was one of the best experiences of our lives. Thank you! Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

I went to here to eat with my husband and 10yr old daughter, first stop was the ladies room (of course), the bathroom was Disgusting! the toilets didnt flush, no water was barely coming out of there old sink!, the service was the WORST Ive ever had!, we ate outside to watch the sunset and couldnt see our food on account of improper lighting.. the food was just "ok". this place is HIGHLY OVERRATED because of its atmosphere.. wont go back..
