My doctor prescribed me a thyroid medication and a vitamin B compound injection. They were shipped via Hallandale Pharmacy. The prescriptions were delivered in a timely manner, however, the prescription was for 90 days and, on the thyroid medicine, I only received a sixty day supply. It was fixed after I let my doctor know. A few months later, my doctor wanted to prescribe me progesterone. We had figured out by this point that I was able to get the thyroid medication at my normal pharmacy and I asked about getting this new one filled there also. My doctor stated that he wanted me to take the bioidentical form and it's only available at this pharmacy...at over $200 for a ninety day supply. I have been trying to get reimbursed for these drugs, but when I called Hallandale, I was informed that they don't bill to insurance (even though my insurance says it is an approved pharmacy) and they refused to send me receipts so that I could send them to insurance myself because I did not pay for the prescriptions, my doctor did...What kind of scam is this place running!? I am still the patient and I have the credit card debt to prove I paid the more than $600 for all of the prescriptions. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, as I checked and they are accredited.
