      The Emergency Medical Services Agency is a part of the Emergency Services Department, which is governed by Halifax County in North Carolina. The agency is responsible for providing emergency medical services to citizens in the county. It also offers paramedic level care solutions to individuals. The Emergency Services Department works for the protection of lives and properties from natural and manmade disasters. The department directs and coordinates public safety-related programs. Its central communications center operates 24 hours a day and receives and dispatches requests from the public and the other agencies of the county. The Emergency Services Department also offers recovery assistance solutions.
