- Medical Weight LossMeritus Bariatric Surgical Specialists offers minimally invasive bariatric surgery procedures. Bariatric surgery is not something to enter into lightly. If your doctor has recommended this operation, it likely means you need to achieve weight loss to avoid health complications. Bariatric Surgery should be considered after you have explored other noninvasive methods and fully understand the risks of the procedure. At Meritus Bariatric Surgical Specialists, our bariatric surgeons and support staff will walk you through every step of the operation—making sure you are prepared for what comes before, during and after surgery.

- Family PracticeThe physicians of Meritus Family Medicine  provide primary care services to patients of all ages. Our board-certified physicians believe that good health care is based on a sound relationship between the patient, doctor and staff. Office visits are by appointment and most insurance plans are accepted.
- Emergency CareOur hospital is one of the most recognizable buildings in the state, and serves as a comforting reminder to the community that a trusted hospital and medical team are close by and ready to provide the high quality care everyone deserves. One of our most renowned features is our state-of-the-art emergency department and level III trauma center. In rural communities, local hospitals rarely have the advanced technology that can facilitate the life-saving treatment patients need. The critical care unit has been awarded the Silver Beacon of Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses for exceptional care.

- Internal MedicineWelcome to Meritus Internal Medicine. Our providers are board-certified in internal medicine and specialize in diagnosing and treating illnesses in individuals ages eighteen or older. Their emphasis is on providing comprehensive medical care that conforms to the needs and expectations of their patients.
- GastroenterologyWhile the digestive tract is sometimes evaluated as an independent organ, it is viewed in relation to the body’s other systems. For this reason, the gastroenterologists are board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. They specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions within any part of the digestive system.
- Ovarian CancerThere are five gynecological cancers—cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal and vulvar—and like breast cancer, cancer generally increases as women age. Although vigilance is the best way to prevent a late-stage cancer diagnosis, some cancers, like ovarian, slip under the radar screen. Ovarian cancer accounts for only 3% of all cancers in women, yet it causes more deaths than any other gynecological cancer. Having access to a cancer subspecialist like Dr. Rosenshein can make all the difference. Studies show that women treated by a gynecologic oncologist have a better chance of prolonged survival compared to those not seen by a subspecialist.
- Cervical CancerIn the last five years, nearly 500 women have come to Meritus Health and been diagnosed with gynecologic cancer. While less common than breast cancer, cancer of the reproductive organs is more troublesome in its detection and diagnosis. Cervical cancer is detected by a Pap test and HPV co-testing. Ovarian cancer, on the other hand, has no available screening test, and its symptoms may be vague.
