The Hagerstown Police Department proudly announces the on-site assessment for re-accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc, (CALEA) The accreditation program requires our department to comply with state-of-the-art standards encompassing four areas: policy and procedure, administration, operations and support services. A public hearing is part of the on-site assessment. Members of the police department and members of the community are invited to offer comments at the hearing.
