My name is Virginia E. Fortunato. Most people call me Ginny. For more than six years, I have been practicing Consumer Bankruptcy Law because I enjoy helping people. This area of the law requires creativity in designing individual plans for my clients to achieve the fresh financial start they deserve. Whether my clients can afford to save their home or need guidance on giving up a home they can no longer afford, I am there to counsel and assist them through the process. The majority of my clientele consists of good and honest debtors who typically find themselves in my office because of things beyond their control. Most clients tell me, “This is the last place I ever thought I’d be,” and I am proud to help them achieve their fresh start. As a result of the economic times I do not limit my practice to simply filing my clients' bankruptcy cases. I also assist my clients in applying for and obtaining loan modifications. Not everyone will qualify for a loan modification but I assist my clients in determining whether they will qualify for a loan modification.
