      Located in Hackensack, N.J., and founded in 2001, Five Six School is affiliated to the Hackensack Public School. The school offers a variety of academic and cocurricular programs. It has more than 700 students in grades five and six and enrolls students from all ethnic, social and economic groups. Its cafeteria offers a variety of food items for breakfast and lunch. Five Six School s curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science and social studies, international languages, and consumer economics. The school also offers special programs, including band, chorus, computer applications, study skills, technology, art, wood shop, and film and television. It also provides an outdoor education program that offers students sleep-over camps. Five Six School s extracurricular activities include environmental studies, leather crafts, boating, archery and hiking.
