The Arena Diner has to be the worst diner in NJ. Last week my husband and I stopped here for lunch. A man brought us to a dirty table and threw two menus down. Fifteen minutes later, a waitress comes by and asks if we've been served yet. We say no and she says she will get the waitress taking care of the station. We wait another ten minutes when another waitress comes by to take the order. She wreaks of cigarette smoke, and as we're ordering her phone keeps going off. She keeps checking it and asking us to repeat things. He ordered a cheeseburger deluxe and I got Onion soup. We wait another like 20 minutes when she brings the order over. She spills nearly a third of the soup on the small plate under the cup. The cheeseburger is smothered in some foul sauce and he sends it back. It comes back and it is as raw as an uncooked burger. We go to leave and tell the manager we only will pay for the soup and he says that we have been a problem since we came in and not to come back again. Awful.
