Sensei Carl Gruber is the owner of Gruber's Karate, a traditional martial arts dojo that teaches Isshin ShorinJi Ryu style karate located in Gurnee, Illinois. Sensei Gruber has over 30 years of martial arts experience and holds a 5th degree Blackbelt in Isshin ShorinJi Ryu. At Gruber's Karate, we focus on providing students a strong foundation for becoming a champion, not only in karate but in life. Sensei Gruber is passionate about martial arts and wants to teach the proper way by caring for each and every student since we are all part of a family (brother's and sister's of the sword). We accepts students from ages 5 to Adults. We offer a free class trial. We also teach self-defense classes for students and non-students.
