Welcome to the Play and Talk web-page! We are Play and Talk, a local, family-owned and family-operated retail store here in Mobile, Alabama that focuses on providing our community with a huge inventory of retro-videogames at great prices as well as quick, quality smart-phone repair. We’ve been repairing phone and consoles for over 10 years here on the Gulf Coast, and we continue to provide unparalleled service at a great price! Our staff includes multiple highly skilled repair technicians that fix smart-phones, tablets, videogame consoles, videogame discs, and more! All of our repairs and all of our videogame consoles come with a limited warranty to ensure complete customer satisfaction. We sell consoles and games from every generation, including the Original Nintendo Entertainment System, the PlayStation 4, and everything in-between. As far as our smart-phone repair goes, we repair iPhones, iPods, iPads, Samsungs, LGs, Tablets, and so much more! We are open 7 days a week, so any day is a great day to come by and pick up a new or old classic game, have your smart-phone repaired, or simply chat it up with our knowledgeable staff who love videogames just as much as you do! I went here with my mother and sister, hoping to find a new game store to visit from time to time. I found a game store to avoid instead. The staff didn't acknowledge us unless we asked them a question and did not inform us that there were no returns. Upon returning home we found that one of the games did not work. We called the store, only to have caleb make fun of my mother and call me an offensive name. The owner wasn't much better, as he laughed when we was told the game was a Christmas present intended for a child. It's been months and still no refund or offer to resolve things in any way. Also, it is worth noting that the owner and his friends leave false reviews for this and his other location.
I have visited this store on several occasions and always found their staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. The selection of games is excellent as well!

Great place, cool people, good prices. Checked this place out on a recent trip. Compared to the local competition, this place blows them outta the water. Seems like the guys below are fanboys or owners of the local competition. Step your game up and you won't have to post "cut and paste" bad reviews every where.

I honestly had a terrible time in this store. Not only was I not even greeted upon walking into the store, but I also had no idea who the employee's were.. We stood in the store for a good five minutes before anyone ever asked if we needed help. Upon getting help, I asked for the price of a particular collectible figurine in the glass display case and was told they didn't know the price and that it was "probably" nineteen or twenty dollars. "Probably" doesn't give me a for sure monetary value. On top of that, I heard the employees making fun of a potential customer that was still standing in the store. My friends had bad experiences as well, one of which brought games in for trade, two of the same kind (one for PS2 and the other a re-release for PS3) and was literally laughed at to his face, ridiculed for buying the same game twice but for different systems, and told that they did not want to take it. Another friend saying that he brought items in for trade, got store credit, and then asked to know the price of a game. Upon finding out the price, he wanted to purchase this game with store credit and was told that the employee "was not going to sell this to them because they were purchasing it with store credit." This is bad business to say that an item is for sale, give a price, and then tell your customer that you're not going to sell it to them because they want to purchase it with store credit. That is what store credit is there for. It is not a ranking system to see who can acquire the most store credit. It is there to use to buy other items in the store. This location hasn't been open for too long, and at this rate, it probably won't stay open for too long if the employee's can not shape up. I can tell you that I will not be revisiting this location due to the experience I had and the experience my friends had and I will no recommend this place to anyone in the future, nor will I plan on visiting their location in mobile or sending friends and family over there to check it out.

Need to find that really old game that your friends don't remember, so you have to show it to them, so you're not the weird kid that played Inindo? Play and Talk probably has it. Or you're a simple (wo)man that just wants to fix that iPhone that your nephew dropped? Play and Talk's got your back. I've visited their location in Mobile several times. I could not wait for Play and Talk to open in Gulfport, MS. I live 20 minutes away and I love it! Why do I love it...Selection, price and most of all...the Service! Best Game store on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
