Opened in 1957, Harrison Central Elementary School serves more than 800 students in grades kindergarten through three. It is operated by the Harrison County School District and is located in Gulfport, Miss. The school has a library that offers a collection of geographical reference sources, general reference materials, biographical sources, books and catalogs. The school s core curriculum areas include math, science, social studies, music, physical education, health, art, English, reading, writing and technology. Harrison Central Elementary School provides various sports activities that include soccer, handball, volleyball, jump rope, basketball, softball, baseball, and track and field. The Harrison County School District governs various other elementary, middle and high schools.
