If I could give this Dealership a negative 5 star rating I definitely would. This is an untrustworthy dealership with people who tell half truths.I called on Wednesday 8/16/2017 (12:26pm) to ask if they had a Mazda Miata PRHT that was shown on their website as IN STOCK (Stock number B0218987)!! This is important. The reason I called, because I was driving 5.5 hours one way to look at this car.The internet sales associate wanted to make sure they had the car, so she verified my number, and called me back (12:35pm). Everything was good, she stated the car was in stock. She scheduled a 10:30 am appointment for us to test drive the car on Thursday 17th. She confirmed by email that our appointment was scheduled.OK, so I booked a hotel room, gathered my spouse and some things for overnight. Heading out, we stopped for some late lunch (2:00pm on Wednesday 8/16/2017). While stopping, a sales associate from the Pat Peck Nissan Gulfport called (2:21pm) and said there had been a mistake, and the car was not present on the lot. I asked where it was, but he ignored the question and stated it was a mistakenly loaded on a transfer truck (FIRST LIE, wasn't mistakenly loaded on anything). I asked when it may be back. He said he didn't know but would check, and call me back. The salesman called again at (3:08pm) and stated the Miata should be back on Thursday 17th, but may be late in the day. I told him we were not to scheduled for an appointment on the 16th, that our appointment was on the 17th. He stated that was great, because arriving on the 16th would be a waste of time since the car wasn't at the dealership, but be there on the 17th. He stated he would call me the next morning first thing and indicate what time the car would be arriving (SECOND LIE/or FIRST HALF TRUTH, he had no idea when the Miata would be back, and wasn't going to know on the morning of the 17th, nor would the car be there). I did indicate, I was driving from out of state, and a long distance (but no indication from the salesman the car was NOT going to be there AT ANY TIME while I was in Gulfport, MS). If this salesman had stated that the car was in TEXAS, OR the car had been WRECKED (in 2012), I would have thanked him, but indicated we were no longer interested. I would have been irritated about the non-refundable hotel room, but would have moved on to a different PRHT Miata, but he didn't indicate such. The simple truth would have prevented this review. We arrived pretty late (8:00 pm or so), we hadn't been in a hurry, for we were only coming to look at the car. We checked into our hotel room, and settled in for the night. This wasn't a vacation, this was a trip to look at this advertised as in stock Miata. We awoke in the morning, and waited for a phone call. It did come (9:36 am), but the salesman informed me the car would not be there on Thursday the 17th, but may be on Friday 8/18/2017, the next day (THIRD LIE, they still had no idea when the car would return). I stated, that because I arranged an appointment for the 17th, that I believe my expenses (fuel/hotel room, about $120.00...[didn't include food]...I even discounted it to $100) should be reimbursed to us. The salesman stated he didn't have that authority, and would need to get his manager on the phone. I waited while the manager was informed of the situation, and what my requests were. It was at this time, the manager answered the phone, and we discussed the situation. The manager stated, that he wouldn't reimburse the expenses. I stated, that small claims court would probably be in my favor. He stated that his dealership didn't think so, nor would his attorneys, but he would listen to the previous phone recordings (between the salesman and myself), and he would contact me afterward. I waited patiently, for a return call about his decision. The manager "Paul" did return the call (10:36am), and insisted that the salesman had indicated the car wasn't present on the lot. I agreed, but also know that a
Sold me a used car with all bad tires. My fault for not doing a thorough check, but when I bought the car back to tell them about the tires; they just looked at me like I was stupid. Had to spend $400 on new tires. I'll never return, but I'll definitely spread the word!!
