Founded in 1982, the Midway Fire Protection District provides emergency and nonemergency service for the preservation of life, property and environment from the threats of fire and disasters. The district s services include hazardous materials response, fire prevention, business inspections, and search and rescue. It works with a team of more than 35 shift personnel and firefighters. The Midway Fire Protection District conducts inspection services for fire alarm and suppression systems and fire lines. It maintains a fire academy that trains youths in various courses related to fire rescue. The district is accredited by the Center for Public Safety Excellence. The Midway Fire Protection District is located in Gulf Breeze, Fla.
