NEVER buy a dog from any of her breeders- although the owner is fine, her breeders are just mass breeding and do not care about their breeds! Find a real breeder who knows what he/she are doing and care about the dogs that they produce for quality, health certifications and will stand behind everything they proclaim. It's worse then a puppy mill- don't be duped!!! Zero stars if I had a choice.

Owner let it slip on the rescue dogs they had for sale. said they had and issue and may need to go back to the breeder...Hmmmm. Breeder??? Thought they were rescue dogs. Didn't like the place or the owner. Will never go back...

i have purchased two puppies from here over the years. they were both happy and healthy from the start i saw them at Yuppy Puppy Petshop in Guilford, CT. Tara, the owner is very nice and helpful at all times and so are all other employees. the puppies and all other animals are kept in very nice spaces unlike many other stores i have seen. also they are only selling puppies from local breeders, again unlike other stores who sell 'Puppy Mill' pups. not here. you can even talk to the breeders. i believe that this is one of the most friendly and conscientious pet shops i have ever been to with great service, happy animals, large selection of food and accessoires.

This place is gross, I have been in there a few times and the small animals are kept in gross overcrowded conditions. Remember there are puppy mills in Connecticut too. I can't believe this day in age people will still buy a dog at a pet store.

We purchased a puppy from Yuppy Puppy yesterday (ALL DOGS AT THE PET STORE ARE FROM LOCAL BREEDERS) can not say enough nice things about the owner Jill and all of her staff!!! Not only are all the puppies well groomed, pens are clean, store is immaculate they took the time to answer all our questions and really care about each and every one of their pets in their store, This is truely a one of a kind pet store, will never go anywhere else for my pet needs...Thank you again Yuppy Puppy!

I brought my daughters hamster here because he didn't want to be held and she happily took it and and traded for another. my daughter is so happy that she got a new and friendly hamster.

Yuppy Puppy is a great small pet store. Our son had been wanting a lizard for years, and for Christmas this year we decided to finally give him the pet he'd been asking for. I thought about going to a larger store, but am so glad I went to Yuppy Puppy instead. The owners were very helpful in letting me know what to expect in costs as well as how to properly care for the lizard. I found their prices to be the same as the chain stores and like how the store is clean and the animals look healthy and well cared for. The store is staffed with helpful, friendly people and it's much closer to our home than any of the big stores. I'd suggest Yuppy Puppy to anyone looking for an animal friend or pet supplies.

Having never purchased a pet from a store before, I was a little apprehensive. After talking to the owners about the origin of the animals and their care, I realize that they only use reputable local breeders. This is a refreshing change from a chain store pet shop! The owners care that the dog will go to a good home and will inquire as to what kind of home you will provide. I knew that they would not have sold me the dog had they not been comfortable with me as an owner. Right then I knew that it was more than just a pet store. Now I have a new addition to my family - A beautiful yellow Lab!

This pet store is very clean and she used local breeders to supply her store. The puppies are well cared for and very happy. I wish her well on her new endeavor. The prices on dog food are better than the big chain stores too.

THE OWNER CARES VERY MUCH ABOUT THE ANIMALS AN IS NOT RUDE. This store is clean and the pups are from breeders. Please do not lie about thos small business. It is not fair to the employees or the community. GO SEE FOR YOURSELF...YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

I was employed with this company in PA for almost three years and had to quit when I moved out of state. What you can expect from this pet store is high quality pets from reputable sources. I know first hand that the pets come from people who care. I own several pets from there and they are all happy and healthy. I would highly recommend Yuppy Puppy. It is the best pet store I have ever seen and it is the best job I have ever had. The owner is caring and always puts the animals at top priority.
