The Clarke County Board of Education is a part of the Clarke County School District and works for the overall development of the school district. The district includes several schools that offer educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school district employs counselors, custodians, cafeteria workers, paraprofessionals and speech therapists. The district s schools libraries stock fiction works, folktales, informational nonfiction, biographies, autobiographies, plays and poems. The schools offer educational classes in a variety of subjects, such as math, science, social studies, reading, writing, spelling, music, vocabulary, art, and health and physical education. The Clarke County Board of Education is located in Grove Hill, Ala.
