University Liggett School is a private, nonreligious, coeducational school that enrolls more than 600 students from prekindergarten through grade 12. The school maintains an average class size of 14 and the student teacher ratio is 8:1. It is accredited by the Independent School Association of the Central States and Association of Independent Michigan Schools. The school s facility includes science rooms, one language lab, four music rooms, four art rooms, three libraries, two dining rooms, four computer centers, two outdoor swimming pools, 12 tennis courts, three gyms, and an indoor ice arena. It provides education in various subjects, including creative and performing arts, English, math, science, social studies, foreign language, health and physical education. Established in 1878, University Liggett School operates lower, middle and upper schools and is located in Grosse PTE Wood, Mich.
