Two of the upstairs bedrooms have been paired with their own separate, private bathrooms. We stayed in the Turret Room on the northeast corner of the house. The corresponding, spacious bathroom possessed a large iron bath tub standing on 4 claw feet. Don’t worry shower fans, they have us covered. But one’s physical coordination must be up to the task  – a flexible hand-held nozzle directs the spray and there are no shower curtains! The water closet (literally-speaking!) has its top tank 5 feet above the seat, similar to ones that we’ve seen in the United Kingdom. Pull the handle and the device does its thing!

I have stayed at Marsh House on a number of occasions and I have to say that it is absolutely wonderful! The house itself is a treasure, full of antiques and big comfortable rooms with all the amenities. Linda and her husband are fabulous owners, going out of their way time after time to make our stays enjoyable and to meet our needs, be it an extra bed for a Grinnell student needing to get away or a few more guests for their incredible breakfasts. We have found them to go out of their way to be flexible in terms of last minute changes in travel plans. Their rates are very reasonable and their policies more than fair. You will not find a better place to spend a day or a week in Grinnell , Iowa, than at Marsh House. We give it our highest recommendation!

I stayed at the Marsh House while visiting Grinnell, IA over the Memorial Day holiday and I must tell you, I was delighted with everything from the stunning decor of the house with it's abundance of antiques, to the gracious hospitality of owners, Linda & Jim Paulson, to the tastefully prepared breakfasts offered. I plan on returning to the Marsh House every time I come through Grinnell and would highly recommend it to all travelers. I assure you, you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I spent a splendid night at Marsh House. The owner's husband and sons' rescued a neglected old house and brought it back to luxurious grandeur. Linda, the owner, was friendly and accommodating through out our stay. Our room was impeccable, the bed very comfortable and the decor spectacular. She served a delicious breakfast of homemade pancakes, eggs, sausage and fresh fruit. Before leaving we scheduled a return visit. I highly recommend Marsh House!!

We travel quite a bit, both domestically and internationally. We are not Bed & Breakfast people; in fact, we usually prefer the reliable quality and high-level service of a 4 or 5 star hotel when we travel. However, there is no hotel, motel or B&B that we enjoy as much, or that we would rate more highly, than the Marsh House in Grinnell.

I loved it from my first visit when I dropped my son off as a freshman at Grinnell, and stayed there many times after that. I loved being there so much, I rented the entire house for graduation weekend and my entire family agreed it was a magical place. The only down side to my son graduating, is that I won't get to

stay at Marsh House again.

My husband and I stayed at the Marsh House for a Grinnell reunion, and we could not have been more pleased with this B&B. The owners Linda and Jim take care to ensure that all of the extra touches are in place -- from the meticulously selected wall papers to the extravagant furnishings to the comfortable beds and delicious breakfasts -- this is the best B&B we have ever stayed in
