      General Info

      At So Big Development Center, positive development, safety, security, and, most importantly, FAMILY are our key points in providing quality care to all children within our center. We provide care to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. We teach to each childs abilities. Our staff at So Big Development Center works together to provide a family atmosphere for your children. We have 5 individual classrooms, which separate our children by age range. Each class has daily activities and lessons which they follow to develop the children's social and emotional skills. We help to not only educate your children and prepare them for school, but we also help them to develop lasting social skills.

      Through the use of a HighScope Curriculum, children will become an active partner with their teachers and their peers in their learning. Teachers will act as a support and guide as they encourage students to choose what materials they would like to use and how they will complete their activities. Teachers will design daily routines to help children to understand what will happen next, and will include activities from the five curriculum focuses: Approaches to learningLanguage, literacy, & communicationSocial and emotional developmentPhysical development, health, and well-beingArts and Sciences These routines which the teachers develop around this curriculum will be designed to meet the special needs, interests and developmental abilities of all children which they have observed in the classroom so that they will all benefit. Involving families in our program is a top priority. This helps children, parents, and our staff, make strong connections between home and the center. We strive to be an extension of your family by developing a partnership where sharing, support, ideas and genuine love for children are of the utmost importance. We encourage parents to visit and participate in center activities with their children. So Big Development Center has an open door policy, which means you are welcome to come and go as you please. You are welcome and encouraged to come visit, eat lunch and go on field trips with your child’s class.
