General Info
Dr. Ty Vaughan was born and raised on a ranch in Northeastern Oregon, outside of the town of Halfway. Ty grew up learning the value of hard work, and an appreciation for the outdoors. He attended the University of Washington for college, but please dont hold it against him. Ty received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado, where he also completed a General Practice Residency that focused on surgery, endodontics, and the treatment of medically compromised patients. He received the Surgical Resident of the Year award at the completion of his residency. Ty practiced as a general dentist for two years before completing the Endodontic Fellowship at OHSU, and then completed his residency in Endodontics at OHSU. Doctors Dale Barker, Mark Danielson, and Jon Yatsushiro, who are part-time instructors at OHSU, asked him to join the Endodontic Specialty Group at the end of his residency. Ty enjoys spending his free time with his wife Cathy, and their two young sons Tobin & Connor. They try to get outside and explore as much of Oregon as possible.

Not only was the root canal amazing but the customer service was too! I was able to get a consultation and root canal done all in one day. I felt like i was in good hands and everyone went above and beyond to make the experience pleasant.

He is very caring and takes the time to explain things to you. I have had bad experiences in the past with other providers and I trust him to perform any necessary procedures making them as painless as possible.
