While aging is a natural life cycle progression, often times there are many challenges associated with growing older. Senior adults face the prospect of losing a loved one, dealing with serious illness, accepting physical changes and decreasing abilities, and even the absence of family and friends. And for some, these challenges can be overwhelming and may lead to a mental or emotional crisis. At Greenwood Leflore Hospital, we understand these stresses and feel that no one should have to struggle through life changes alone. Greenwood Leflore Hospital’s New Beginnings Geriatric Care Unit is pleased to offer the expertise of Dr. Margaret Cassada and a qualified staff to help with issues unique to senior adults. Board-certified in Psychiatric Medicine, Dr. Cassada also serves on the Board of Directors of the Department of Mental Health and the Board of Governors for the Mississippi Hospital Association. She and the staff are dedicated to providing compassionate care.
