Dr. Salazar is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. He speaks English and Spanish. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his postdoctoral training residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Life is a precious gift; this conviction permeates every aspect of who I am and what I do... as a person and as a physician. As part of this, I believe everybody deserves the utmost respect, kindness and commitment to their needs and unique situation. To put it simply, I treat you the way I would want my wife and daughter to be treated. For me, this means being attentive, caring, sensitive and devoted to the highest standard of care. I believe I was called to this profession. As a father of four, I understand the importance of bringing a new life into this world safely, while simultaneously providing the best care for the mother. I love to help bring babies into this world and also being able to contribute to the good health of women from every walk of life. I feel strongly that health care and caring should never be separated. Health care will be provided to you in a down-to-earth, friendly interaction that is characterized by compassion, interest and genuine concern for both your physical and emotional well-being."
