As the officer approached my truck he either noticed that in the back of my truck, I had an old cooler with 10 beers in it. Or he pulled my record at the time of the stop and noticed I had a prior DWI more than 5 years ago. I was honest and told him that I take 1 Hydrocodone and 1 Xanax every morning. He told me to follow him to the rear of my truck and proceeded to give me a field sobriety test. After the test he said well, you under the influence of something and wanted to take me to draw blood. From having had a DWI in the past, I know that from that comment, I was going to get a charge no matter what. So I refused to let him take my blood until an attorney was present.
