Recognizing the presence of personal computers on the manufacturing floor in the early 1990s, founder, Andrew Kurtz, realized the need for new Windows-based tools for manufacturing. In 1996, he started the company as a software development and professional consulting firm. Clients include automotive manufacturers and suppliers, plastic manufacturers, engineering firms and other technology companies. The company provides software that solves real business problems and provides cost-effective solutions. It has provided a variety of solutions, including chemical approval request systems, ergonomic assessment systems, lot control systems, lot and serial number tracking systems, manufacturing supplier rating systems, regulatory tracking systems, system security, system verification management and tracking systems for employee training. ProActive Technology is a privately owned company headquartered in Greenville, S.C.
