Blythe Academy of Languages enrolls more than 800 students and has a staff of over 65 personnel. The school offers instruction in French and Spanish through Foreign Language in the Elementary School and Partial Spanish Immersion programs. It serves students in kindergarten through grade four. Blythe Academy of Languages has a media center that houses various teaching materials, such as computers, books, magazines, pamphlets, pictures, filmstrips, recordings and other audiovisual aids. It also offers an accelerated reader program that encourages students to read more books. The school s parent-teacher association organizes several fundraising events and Red Ribbon Week activities. In addition, Blythe Academy of Languages employs counselors who provide guidance and support services to students, teachers and parents. It also publishes a newsletter. The school is located in Greenville, S.C., and is a part of Greenville County Schools.
