Eastern Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school has a library media center that provides access to encyclopedias, dictionaries, databases, newspapers, magazines and search engines. The school offers an accelerated reader program that improves students reading comprehension skills and increases overall student achievement. It has a parent-teacher association that organizes a winter celebration, science fair, book fair night and cultural arts festival. The school provides academic classes in English, language arts, math, science, social studies and physical education. Eastern Elementary School is affiliated with Pitt County Schools and is located in Greenville, N.C.
