Mislead by Action Staffing Group of Greenville

I responded to an ad on Craigslist for an Office Assistant in Kinston and on the bottom of the ad it read "Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.) I ASSUMED it was directly from the employer. I received a phone call a couple of days later and they stated they received my resume and wanted to schedule an appointment for an interview. I agreed, then asked what is the name of the company, they said Action Group. I then asked for the address and was told it was 308 SE Greenville Boulevard, I then asked who am I speaking with and she said Sylvia. When I put the address in my Garmin, it showed me that it was in Greenville. I was quite surprised since I thought I was applying for a job in Kinston.I did attend that interview and met with Sylvia. The first thing she asked was for my Drivers License and Social Security Card. I then started asking more questions, as to how she got my phone number and resume and she said it was from an ad they posted on Craigslist. I told her the only job I respond to was an Office Assistant in Kinston. She said that company must be running their own private ad, but she also represents them. I asked to see what paperwork she had with my phone number and she showed me my cover letter that was sent to the ad that stated "Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact his job offer.) She showed me my cover letter which was only sent to the job posted as Office Assistant in Kinston.I felt I was SCAMMED, MISLEAD and was furious that I came from New Bern to Greenville, a two hour drive round trip for WASTING MY TIME since I did not contact a Staffing Agency to help me find a job. This review is for others to be aware that it could happen to you. Ask more questions before you waste your time and be sure you're not SCAMMED by Action Staffing Group of Greenville. They were very rude and are liars! Thanks for listening and good luck in your job hunting, however you really don't need a Staffing Agency to find a good solid job with a reputable company. There are plenty out there and the Employment Security Commission (ESC)can help you locate a job of your choice.
