Greenville Public Schools governs a technical center and more than 15 elementary, middle, high and alternative schools. The district enrolls over 7,400 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Greenville Public Schools schools are accredited by the Mississippi State Department of Education. Its athletics department organizes several intramural sports activities, including baseball, golf, power lifting, basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, football, and track and flied. Additionally, the district s schools participate in various special programs, such as Delta Horizons, CORE Arts, Plato Learning System, Gear Up Mississippi and First Things First.
