My daughter spent nearly $400 for her prom dress. She had the dress altered there because it was "convenient." However, when she tried it on for me afterwards one side of the dress was about 2 inches shorter than the other. I asked her if she was standing straight when they pinned the dress of if she was leaning on one hip, and she said, she didn't remember. Such a simple mistake, the taylor should have reminded her to stand up straight. They must have had to cut off over a foot because my daughter is so short, but the material did not come with the dress. I could have made a matching bag if they had given me the material that came from the dress. They probably keep it for themselves to make alterations on other gowns or bags to match so they can charge more.I guess that's a lesson learned.
