Located in Greensboro, N.C., Brightwood Elementary School serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school has music, special education, English, math, science, social studies and physical education departments. Its staff includes paraprofessionals, subject teachers, social workers, speech pathologists and psychologists. Brightwood Elementary School has a media center that houses a variety of picture dictionaries, storybooks, quiz books and encyclopedias. The school is a part of Guilford County Schools, which serves several students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school district additionally includes various elementary, middle and high schools. Brightwood Elementary School also operates a parent-teacher association that works for the welfare of the school and its students.
