Matthews Tires at 2717 S. Oneida St. In Green Bay, WI is definitely not the place to go for tires or repairs. Be forewarned, if you go in for tires, guaranteed the staff will find something on your vehicle that needs to be repaired. And you will not be satisfied with the end result because they do not throughly check their work.



In January 2015, I purchased 4 new tires at $235 each tire to be installed ($1,000). After Matthews worked on the car for over an hour, I was advised that all 4 breaks, 4 rotors and an outer tie rode needed to be replaced. The total cost for tires and repairs was $2100.



On my way home my car was shimming all over the road, my seats were vibrating and the steering wheel was shaking back and forth. I had none of these problems prior to Matthews Tires working on my vehicle.



The next day I took my car back to Matthews Tires. They replaced 2 of my new tires that were defective, possibly retreads, with 2 other new tires. This second visit to Matthews Tires fixed the shimming and vibration.



Then the very next day I went out to drive my vehicle and I had a completely flat tire. I examined the tire, there was no nails, screws or otherwise that had punctured the tire. I called Matthews Tires and expressed my dissatisfaction. Since my husband is a Disabled Veteran, and the tires were just installed, and we purchased the "Matthews Tire Nationwide Road Hazard Program" , I requested Matthews Tires send someone out to take off the tire and get it repaired. I was told they will fix the repair, but I would have to take the tire off myself and bring it to them to find out what the problem is.



All this being said, I strongly do not recommend them for tires or any other auto repairs.

Over the years, my family and I have regularly taken in 6 cars to the Green Bay location of Matthews Tire, and we couldn't be happier. The customer service is excellent, the work has consistently been top-knotch, and I wouldn't even consider getting tires or auto repairs done anywhere else. Highly recommended!

Have been to Matthew's a handful of times between two vehicles. O.k. job on brake work, but for any advanced issues - I'd go somewhere else. My husband's truck was backfiring & he was losing acceleration. Matthew’s wanted to do $1000 worth of work including replacing the intake manifold gaskets, etc. Took it for a 2nd opinion & it was an up stream O2 sensor! Seems like they were guessing at why the truck wasn’t running right & it almost cost me 10X the price. Went to AutoPro & Truck on Verlin Rd. & the owner couldn’t understand why Matthew’s was suggesting that kind of work be done.
