Operational since 2008, High Plains Library District offers reading facilities at various locations of Colorado. Located in Firestone, Colo., the library stocks fiction books, including adventure, nonfiction books, including biographies and self improvement, magazines and newspapers, Spanish books, business and nonprofit books, local interest and Genealogy books. It also has DVDs, eBooks, movies, music and CDs. The library's range of events includes Adult Winter Reading Program, Preschool Story time, Twinkle Babies, Knitter's Circle, Scrappy Ladies, computer training, collectible card gaming, Jobs Zone, Booklovers Club and Legacy Family Tree software class. The Mango Languages section of High Plains Library District offers online language learning system that teaches conversation skills in various languages.
