I wouldn't go anywhere else, great service each time!

I have been getting my haircut here for 10 years, and my mom has been getting her hair cut here for even longer. I have never gotten a bad haircut. They were the only people I could find that could cut my bangs straight. The staff has all been wonderful to my mother and me, they always offer us something to drink and to take our coats when it's cold outside. The longest I have ever had to wait for an appointment was about 5 minutes for my stylist to clean up her station, I have waited at the doctor's office longer than that! Mouton's is a wonderful salon and I highly recommend it. When I saw they only had 2/5 stars on this website I was appalled.

Don't even think about going here. My wife and I have both had bad experiences here with two separate stylists. My wife got a terrible haircut -- and I showed up for my appointment and waited ... and waited ... and waited. After I waited for approximately 25 minutes, the receptionist walked around looking for the stylist that I was scheduled to see, and apparently couldn't find her. I was told that she was "finishing up with a client." It was clear that the stylist was NOT with another client. After waiting a few more minutes, I cancelled the appointment and left. All the while I was watching a large group of Mouton employees gathered in the break room. This salon is very poorly run and highly unprofessional. Both my wife and I will never return. I also noted that at least one other customer left the salon after a long wait. This seems to be their standard mode of operation. My advice: go elsewhere!

My first experience at Mouton's salon was not a good one - not only was the stylist was smacking her gum the whole time, she was applying a colorizing treatment to my hair when two new stylists approached us and said, "Wow isn't that going to completely damage her hair? It will definitely be fried after this!" I was appalled! After all of that, the color treatment didn't take and my hair looked exactly the same. [I went to another salon after that and it was fixed the way I wanted right away.]



My second experience came when my mother asked me to go with her to Mouton's while she was getting her hair cut. I was minding my own business when a stylist [that I've never met before, not my mother's stylist] came up to me, began messing with my hair and said, "Girl it looks like you just got done doing something you shouldn't have been!" Again, i was appalled. I am not usually one to complain, but the staff at Mouton's is very unprofessional and rude, to be frank. This time I wasn't even the client and I was treated poorly. Avoid this salon at all costs!!!



The prices may be cheap, but you get what you pay for.
