Walker Tool & Die is a provider of stamping dies for nearly any application. Based in Grand Rapids, Mich., the company was one of the first in the area to earn a quality certification from the auto industry, establish a quality control department and offer the latest technology. In operation for more than 40 years and an employer of approximately 115 people, the company originated as a seven-man, three-machine operation. Services provided include engineering, prototyping, CAD/CAM, die build, CNC machining, laser trimming, wire EDM and quality control. Walker Tool & Die specializes in large progressive and transfer dies, but it builds all types of tooling. The company produces stamping dies for thin- or thick-gauge materials, high-strength materials, safety requirement parts and high-precision parts. Walker Tool & Die s customer base consists of businesses in the automotive, office furniture and appliance markets.
