The Walker Police Department is a law enforcement agency that protects residents lives, property and individual rights, as well as maintains peace and order. It undertakes various criminal cases and works with other state, local and federal agencies to ensure public safety. The Walker Police Department offers several support services, including gun registration, animal control, fingerprinting, concealed weapon permits, and traffic and parking law enforcement. The department supports and conducts several youth events and neighborhood and vacation watch programs. The Walker Police Department also organizes various child restraint checks, driver education programs, citizen surveys, forensics camps, and workplace violence and identity theft seminars.
