Kent County Office of Community Corrections provides rehabilitative programs to offenders in the Kent County, Mich., to control state prison commitments. Its rehabilitative programs include community service, substance abuse treatment, intensive supervision, and education and employment programs. Other programs feature pretrial supervision and mental health counseling. Its probation supervision program provides offenders with the rehabilitative knowledge skills and abilities, and provides information about the basic rules of the criminal justice system and consequences of criminal behavior. It also provides statistical analysis on sentenced felony offenders and jail utilization to committees involved in the criminal justice system.
