- Skylight Repair/ReplacementThe 41,000-square-foot expansion and renovation project was constructed of structural steel with a masonry and metal panel façade. The new facility tripled the exam room space and included a highly efficient medical pod layout, new pharmacy, welcoming patient waiting areas, courtyards, locker rooms, classroom space, and a centrally located stimulating administration space. TowerPinkster utilized day lighting strategies throughout the facility, which included skylights in the administration area.

- DemolitionTo fund the construction of a new library, demolition of the old facility, and other improvements to the site, Ransom District Library pursued a $6.2 million bond that was placed on the August 7, 2018, ballot. CSM Group assisted with creating project documents that effectively communicated the positive benefits the project would bring to the community.
- LandscapingThis project was a design/build in partnership with Prein & Newhof, a Michigan-based civil and environmental engineering company. The scope of work included the installation of new pavement, concrete curbs and gutters, storm utilities, and site lighting. Landscaping was also coordinated with the owner during construction.
- ExcavationRoute using careful excavation tactics and sheet piling. With the river redirected, the ability to form the new route, along with landscape features including new control berms, rock/ retaining walls, natural habitat plantings, and structural construction supports, was accomplished. - Retaining WallsThe panel is designed to support structural steel beams at the perimeter, eliminating the need for exterior columns. The animal room suites comprised a total of 18 animal rooms with associated anterooms, procedure rooms, surgery, cagewash and office spaces. The precast finish was designed to match the existing cast-in-place retaining walls in texture and relief. These factors required precise coordination with the structural engineer and architect for the placement of beam pockets and openings.
- WalkwaysThere were many aspects of the existing environment to account for, including surrounding city parks, residential properties, public access/walkways, bus routes, Bronson Hospital (open 24/7), and a river/creek, all of which required safe routes of access and the ability to remain fully functional.
