Brookside Elementary School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic programs for students in kindergarten through grade five. The school conducts classes in mathematics, science, social studies and language arts. It supports the English as a Second Language program, as well as maintains a partnership with Steelcase. Brookside Elementary School participates in the Grand Rapids Symphony Artist-In-Residence program. The school operates an after-school program, as well as offers counseling services. It additionally organizes the parent literacy and math nights. Brookside Elementary School participates in the Schools of Hope Tutoring program in partnership with United Way. The school is governed by the Grand Rapids Public School District.
