After paying nearly ten-thousand dollars for a brand-new roof, my contractor insisted the roof was leaking the day it was installed. Dave Martin personally came and inspected it, assuring me that it was not leaking and my contractor was wrong. He told me he was the roofing expert, not the contractor. I decided to trust him.



Eight months later, it was raining inside my house as pieces of my ceiling fell off. My homeowners insurance came and assessed the damage at fourteen-thousand dollars. They then brought in a forensic engineer who proved the roof was incorrectly installed. Then, they brought in three roofing companies and the highest estimate for complete roof replacement was less than half of what I paid Dave Martin and Sons.



So, I was overcharged by more than double, and my thirty-year roof had to be replaced after only eight months--entirely at my expensive because my homeowner's insurance company said, "they do not cover faulty installation."



My insurance company offered me a lawyer to sue Dave Martin and Sons with but I declined, as I felt I did not have the time or energy for a lawsuit. I have come to regret this as time passed.



Hiring them was the worst decision of my life, and I paid dearly for it. I would give less then one-star if I could.
