I have been taking my dogs here every other week for 10 years. They

are great with the dogs...even my cranky one who liked to bite vets and groomers. The owner was so sweet when I had to put him down...she even bought me flowers! My dogs are done ontime and at a reasonable price. It is a pleasure to do business with them.

I am an X Client (as of today) of Tender touch. Here is the reason. We had 2 dogs we groomed there. They did a decent job even though their prices were higher than most.



Today, I brought in my daughter's female Golden Retriever for the first time. We wanted her bathed and shaved for the summer. I asked the price and they told me $75. I said to the owner that sounded high to me and she said "She is a big dog". Not really thinking it through we left her there and when we got back in the car, my daughter told me that last time she took Niko to Petco down the street and it was $56 for the same thing.



I decided to verify that and called Petco and was told that I could bring in Niko and have her groomed today for the $56 price.



So, I decided to call back the owner at Tender Touch and tell her about the huge discrepancy in price. She told me "I do not barter with people about price." "That's my price and if you don't like it you can pick up your dog."



I was very disturbed about her attitude to a long time customer of 2 other dogs. I picked up Niko, was given more attitude and took her to Petco which is right down the street.



They did a great job. They were friendly and professional. Their facilities were clean and spacious (unlike Tender Touch which is rather dirty and crowded) and they told me that many X Clients of Tender Touch have switched to Petco precisely because of price and attitude.



By the way, Petco requires that your dog have current shots to be groomed with them and to bring proof which we have. I thought that was a good thing to protect my pets from contracting diseases from other dogs at the groomer. Tender Touch never asked me whether my pets were up to date on shots. I now believe that to be a dangerous practice.



I would NEVER recommend Tender Touch to anyone looking to groom their animal!!!
