In these difficult economic times, it is critical an attorney be able to skillfully and creatively advocate for a client and resolve conflicts without excessive litigation and unnecessary legal posturing. At our firm, we zealously represent our clients, never losing sight of their financial realities and that those who come to us are part of families in crisis. Resolving legal family conflicts should not be a "battle" or a "win or lose" situation. Understanding each party's position is the path to the meaningful resolution of a family conflict. We strive to resolve conflicts cost effectively, efficiently and with dignity, allowing clients to maintain as much control as possible over the outcome of their conflict. Litigation is seen as the last resort, but, when it's necessary, the firm zealously represents clients never losing sight of each client's goals. The firm handles a range of family related matters that reflects the unique issues confronting families today. We are trained in and offer elder care mediation, we mediate adult siblings conflicts, particularly focusing on helping adult siblings successfully address the issues that arise when a parent become frail and there are issues of caretaking or after a parent has died and conflicts arise over what can be called pre-estate disagreements. We help family members come to agreements before litigation is necessary. Issues of grief and loss are understood by the firm and we work to avoid having them drive disputes and in the worst case scenario, have them be the unspoken underpinning of litigation when a loved one is in failing health or has died. we provide conflict coaching; what to do when only one of you wants to resolve a conflict or family crisis that could end up in litigation if there is not a resolution? We help clients develop techiniques and strategies to handle such situations. when marital conflicts cannot be settled outside the courtroom, we represent parties in divorces, with and without complex equitable distribution issues, spousal support, child support, child custody and visitation matters, adoptions, as well as, post divorce conflicts. We negotiate and draft separation agreements, pre and postnuptual agreements. WIth 18 years experience as an attorney representing families and a masters degree in social work, Jeanne Bonney, Esq. understands family conflicts. When nparties seek legal advice, they are often drained financially, emotionally and are barely hanging on. In these harsh economic times, conflicts a family could resolve between themselves in better times are often at crisis level.
