Desert Star School serves students in kindergarten through grade eight and offers a variety of educational services. Its academic curriculum includes a variety of subjects, such as art, mathematics, social studies, science, English, foreign languages and physical education. The school offers a range of athletic activities, including volleyball, soccer, cheerleading, basketball, softball, baseball and track. It provides several extracurricular activities, including a morning news team, choir group, the National Junior Honor Society, student council, sports club, yearbook, drama club and after-school tutoring. The school s parent-teacher organization organizes several fundraising activities. Located in Goodyear, Ariz., it is a part of the Avondale Elementary School District No. 44.
