Awesome staff, wonderful vet, fair pricing, Dr. Root is one of the most compassionate vets that I have seen in a long time. He cares, his staff is great and they care too, which speaks highly of the entire team there!

Even though I moved away from Goodlettsville many many years ago I have continued taking my four-legged family to Root Animal Clinic for the past twenty years or so. The clinic is always clean and smells better than any human-child daycare I have ever visited (fresh&clean, not cover-up-flowery, or disinfectant=scary). Even the rooms that clients don't usually see!



The staff is always focused on the animal's comfort and well-being, and works diligently with the animal and the client to achieve the best possible quality of life in a given situation. The quality of services is fantastic. The staff is warm, compassionate, and appropriately intolerant of anything that causes unnecessary stress or pain. (They offer laser procedures and pain shots, too.) Prices are fair.



Root Animal Clinic is worth driving a few extra miles for my furry kids.

I live over an hour from this clinic, and find it WORTH THE DRIVE to get the quality of care and compassion I get from Root Animal Clinic. Dr. Root takes plenty of time to explain everything about your pet, give suggestions, and he tries to find the least expensive way to give the necessary care. They also have laser surgery equipment, and I had my cat spayed and declawed using this less invasive and painful method and was quite pleased. Their facility is very clean, the office staff is very friendly, and I'm happy to be using them.

The staff at Root has cared for two of our dogs and one of our cats for approx two years. Most notably, they stitched up our German Shepherd's food after it had been mangled by a car skidding on it to the point that less than a year later, we couldn't tell the hurt foot from the unhurt one (and apparently our dog can't either). From the front desk to the exam room, everyone is pleasant to me, my children, and our pets. The clinic is always clean, and everyone seems to know what they are doing. Highly recommended.

This facility has gone over and above for the well being of my dog. They spend quality time with you and call you to check up on our pet. They always explain everything to us and make sure we understand everything. Dr Root is the most caring and compassionate person.
