I am a new tenant that has just moved in and stumbled upon this rating. I spoke to the office in regards to the previous concerns regarding security, and they pointed out a couple of things:-In 2007, new owners purchased the building who have improved security systems, and added cameras-I have never seen police here in the 3 months I've lived here...I will add that my apartment was refinished with hardwood floors, new appliances, and new carpet. Combine that with the 12 ft ceilings, large windows, and updated common areas, the gym, I was happy to sign a lease when I check what else is out there... nothing compared...Not sure what was going on in 2006 but this place is great now!!!-Sean

I have lived here for over 4.5 years so far. I've sought comparably spaced housing elsewhere, without success. The rent is OVER HUD limits, so rents under HUD are 45+% rather than the fair 30%, of gross income. The higher cost supposedly covers the secure-buidling feature, which is horribly misleading. YOU be the judge: The city police are called here nightly--often daily too; my 1st year here, I called them over two dozen times for in-progress burglary attempts mostly, & neighborhood criminal nuisance as well. In several cases, the burglar was INSIDE our hallways, despite secure entries. Food Delivery drivers have been robbed in our parking lot. My car was hit-&-run 4 times in my first 2-3 months living here. Security is obviously NOT provided.NO STORAGE is included at all, despite extremely deficient closet or cabinet space in all apt.'s--but you can pay quite a bit xtra rent to obtain it. Upon move-in, I was belatedly told I WASN'T ALLOWED TO KEEP my new W/D, so be forewarned!
